What exactly is
BACU@home?
BACU@home is a convenient, safe and secure way for you to access your credit
union accounts – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week all from the privacy of your own
home, your office or anywhere you have an Internet connection.
Is there a fee for using
BACU@home?
BACU@home is a FREE service for members of Best Advantage Credit Union.
Will BACU@home work from my computer?
All you need to use BACU@home is:

browser that supports 128-bit encryption

Microsoft
Explorer 5.0 or greater or Netscape Navigator 4.6 or greater

Select
your screen resolution to 800 x 600 and color settings 16 bit (Recommended
settings for screen but not required)
How
do I sign up to use BACU@home?
If you are a member of Best Advantage Credit Union, you can sign up right now!
It’s
easy. Stop at one of our offices or call BACU for an application.

What can I do once I
am connected to BACU@home?
You can access your account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to do the following:

Transfer
funds within your account number

Do
scheduled transfer payments

Transfer to my spouse/children's accounts

Review
account balances
-
Verify
transactions by date and amount including deposits, withdrawals,
transfers, and payments

Verify
checks that have cleared your account

Make
loan payments from funds in your account

Review
loan payoff amounts and due dates

Obtain
annual dividends and interest information

You
may download transactions into Quicken or Microsoft Money
When do transactions
post to my account?
All transactions will post immediately.
How many
transactions/inquires can I do, per visit, per day, per month?
Unlimited.
When will my
transfers take place?
A one-time transfer will be transferred immediately, while a scheduled transfer
will take place on the scheduled day.
If
I sign up for BACU@home will I still receive a
statement in the mail?
Absolutely. You will continue to
receive your scheduled statements as usual.
Can I transfer funds
from my account to my spouse/children’s accounts?
Yes. This must be prearranged with the Credit Union.
Is
my account information secure?
BACU provides you with the highest security for your account and personal
information. There are many layers of security to ensure your information
is safe. High security firewalls,
encryption, your personal access and password, and automatic logoff are in place
to protect your information.
Can
I change my password?
Yes. You can change your password on-line by clicking the Change
Password button at the top of the page. Remember
your password is in lower case and requires at least 1 alpha and 1 numeric
character with a minimum of 8 and maximum of 16 characters.
What
if I forget my password?
To gain access you will have to call Best Advantage Credit Union at
1-800-772-3116.
What if I entered my
password incorrectly several times and now that I remember it I can’t get into
the system?
As a security feature, you have 3 attempts on your first logon. If you fail to gain access at this point you can try to access again a
minimum of 30 minutes after your first failed logon attempt. You will again have 3 attempts again to logon before you are locked out
of the system. To gain access now
you will have to contact Best Advantage Credit Union at 1-800-772-3116.
What
is my Access ID?
Your access ID is assigned by the credit union when you open your account and
may be changed the first time when you sign on to be BACU@Home.
How
long can I be online?
There is no time limit on BACU@Home. However, we will automatically log off your session after 3 minutes of
inactivity for security. If this occurs, you will be back at the home page where you
will logon again to enter into BACU@Home.
